Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu: Here are traffic diversions for 22 Aug

In view of the ‘Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu’ valedictory programme, that will be attended by Telangana Chief Minister KCR, traffic congestion is expected around LB Stadium on 22 August between 2 p.m and 9 p.m.

Hyderabad: In view of the 'Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu' valedictory programme, that will be attended by Telangana Chief Minister KCR, traffic congestion is expected around LB Stadium on 22 August between 2 p.m and 9 p.m. During this time, traffic will either be stopped or diverted at the following locations:



1. Traffic coming from Chapel road, Nampally, and intending to proceed towards BJR statue will not be allowed and will be diverted at AR petrol pump towards PCR.

2. Traffic coming from SBI Gunfoundry side and intending to proceed towards Press Club/Basheerbagh flyover will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Chapel Road at SBI Gunfoundry.

3. Traffic coming from Ravindra Bharathi and Hill Fort road and intending to proceed towards BJR statue will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Nampally.

4. Traffic coming from Basheerbagh flyover will not be allowed to take a right turn at BJR statue. It will proceed to SBI Gunfoundry and take a right turn toward Chapel road.

5. Traffic coming from Narayanguda cemetery towards Basheerbagh will be diverted at old MLA Quarters towards Himayatnagar 'Y' junction.

6. Traffic coming from King Koti and Boggulakunta to Basheerbagh via Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be diverted at King Koti crossroads towards Tajmahal and Eden Garden.

7. Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards PCR will not be allowed and will be diverted at Basheerbagh towards Liberty.

8. Traffic coming from Himayathnagar 'Y' junction towards Basheerbagh will not be allowed and will be diverted at Himayathnagar 'Y' junction.

Diversions for RTC buses

1. RTC buses plying from Secunderabad towards Koti via Basheerbagh will be diverted at Liberty towards Himayathnagar–Narayanguda–Kachiguda–Koti.

2. RTC buses plying from Mehdipatnam and Kukatpally side toward Koti via Ravindra Bharati and LB Stadium will be diverted at AR petrol pump towards Nampally.

Junctions to be avoided

People are requested to avoid the following junctions where traffic congestion is expected – AR petrol pump, BJR statue, Basheerbagh, PCR junction, Ravindra Bharati, Liberty, Tank Bunk, Khairatabad, Lakdikapool, MJ Market, Nampally, Abids, Narayanguda, and LB Stadium from 2 p.m to 9 p.m on 22 August.

All citizens have been requested to take note of the diversions and traffic congestion points and take alternate routes to reach their destinations. The traffic diversions/closures of roads will be removed/opened after the conclusion of the programme, the Hyderabad traffic police said.
