Swiss Res Hyderabad centre to open in August with 250 employees

Hyderabad: Switzerland-based reinsurance firm Swiss Re's Hyderabad centre will start with an initial headcount of 250 and will focus on data and digital capabilities, product modelling, and risk management.

Telangana IT minister K.T Rama Rao met Veronica Scotti, the firm's group managing director, and Ivo Menzinger, MD Public Sector Solutions, SwissRe, in Davos at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2022.

SwissRe is a 160-year-old insurance organisation headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. It will set up its office in Hyderabad this August.

The company is the latest addition to Hyderabad's banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector and operates in 80 locations globally.

TS Pavilion at Davos

A Telangana Pavilion has also been set up at the WEF. Telangana is one of the only three states in India to have an exclusive pavilion at Davos. The Pavilion is set up on the main road of Davos called Promenade.

The Telangana Pavilion has a reception area, a waiting lounge, and two meeting lounges. At the exclusive state-of-the-art VR lounge visitors can watch a Virtual Reality presentation on Telangana state.

KTR is leading the TS delegation at WEF which comprises IT and industries principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan, T-Hub CEO Ravi Narayan, and director of digital media Dileep Konatham among others.
