Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal 

Hyderabad: The 3rd International T-20 Cricket Match is scheduled to be held on Saturday (night match) between India Vs Bangladesh at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal here.

The stadium has approximately 39,000 seating capacity. To avoid any untoward incidents during the match day, a series of unprecedented measures were taken at Uppal Cricket Stadium for the smooth run of this T-20 International Cricket Match. Metro rail authorities have extended their timings up to 1 am for spectators.

Security arrangements

- Elaborate bandobust arrangements are being made in coordination with different wings, like security wing (250), traffic (400), law and order (1,662), TSSP 14 platoons, Armed Forces (6 platoons), Octopus (2 teams) and other wings. A total of about 2,600 police persons are being deployed for security.

- In and around the stadium, a total of 300 CCTV cameras are being installed including vehicle checkpoints and parking places to cover the entire area

- A joint command and control room has been established on the South side at the G-6 box to monitor all the CCTV footage for taking immediate action.

- Anti-sabotage checks with the help of BD teams would continue round the clock until the match is completed.

- The scanners installed at the stadium will allow police and other security personnel to detect explosives and other prohibited material inside the venue.

- The services of the bomb disposal team and sniffer dogs were pressed into service to ensure safety in the stadium and parking places.

Gate security

- Check posts were set up at all the entry points of the stadium to carry out anti-sabotage checks and frisking of persons.

- An escort vehicle of law and order is being arranged along with an escort vehicle of the City Security Wing. A Road Clearance Party, specifically for route clearance will be used for for congestion-free entry and exit of the players, VIPs and VVIPs into the stadium.

- Separate teams are being deployed to check the movements of antisocial elements.

- Four mobile technicians at each gate will check spectatorsā€™ mobile phones.

The spectators are not allowed to carry some things such as laptops, banners, water bottles, cameras, cigarettes, electronic items, matchboxes, lighters, sharp metal/plastic objects, coins, writing pens, batteries, helmets, perfumes and bags.

- A separate SHE Teams/Anti-Eve-Teasing team has been established.

Checking on vendors

- A separate vendor supervising team is established to control the vendors and their rates as prescribed by the authorities.

- The antecedents of the personnel, who are being engaged by the sponsors/vendors related to this match, are being thoroughly checked and passes with photos were issued to them.

- Exchange of accreditation cards is strictly prohibited and replacement of personnel is not allowed and cases are also booked against change of passes.

Traffic guidelines

- Adequate signage boards will be erected at different places to make the viewers reach stadium easily.

- The viewers are not being allowed to park any vehicles on either side of the main road from Genpact to Uppal Ring Road and Uppal Ring Road to Vishal Mart, Ramanthapur and the vehicles have parked as specified by the TSIIC parking areas only.

- Gates should be opened and spectators allowed in the stadium by 4 pm on the day

- Keeping the spectators count in view, adequate measures were taken by increasing the number of ambulances from 3 to 7 for immediate medical service to spectators.

- Keeping public safety in view number of fire engines is increased to four fire engines.

- The revenue officials in coordination with the police have identified sufficient parking places and they have also requested fogging at stadium premises on the match day.

- The GHMC officials in Uppal have taken the proper measures in removing debris/garbage in and around the stadium for the smooth conduct of matches.

Guidelines for HCA

- The HCA have to ensure sufficient tents, chairs and drinking water for all the spectators and police personnel.

- The HCA has provided sufficient lighting, and CCTV cameras along with the private security personnel at all parking places in order to avoid vehicle/valuables and mobile thefts.

- The HCA have erected sufficient barricading at all entry, exit and parking areas to avoid bottlenecks in crowds.

- The HCA have erected sufficient signage boards at all the main roads from Habsiguda to Uppal, L.B. Nagar to Uppal, Madipally to Uppal, and Ramanthapur to Stadium with proper arrow marks and text in night visible manner.

Parking lots

- Approximately parking place for sufficient vehicles both two-wheeler and four-wheelers is identified and arrangements are made for the free flow of traffic during the match day.

- The car pass holders of outer gates 1 and 2 should come from Ramanthapur side (LG Godown/ Modern Bakery) and park their vehicles in parking A and B inside the stadium. If parking A and B inside the stadium is full, then they should go towards gate 11 via gate 1 and park their four vehicles on private land. The two-wheelers of gates 1 and 2 will park their vehicles in parking ā€“ B at the NSL parking place.

- The physically challenged viewers, who possess passes are suggested to enter from Ramantapur road and can enter into the stadium through outer gate No-3 (Service entry) after parking their vehicles at Parking place-B.

- The viewers with passes for entry through gates G-4 to G-10 should enter the stadium from Habsiguda-Uppal main road (via Ek-Minar) and park their vehicles at Little Flower Junior College, or Ramanthapur Church ground general parking place.

- Heavy goods vehicles from LB Nagar and Warangal routes would not be allowed towards Habsiguda during match timings. They will be diverted as per the instructions of the DCP-Traffic of Rachakonda.

- Heavy goods vehicles coming from ECIL, Kushaiguda and Cherlapally towards Uppal X road are being diverted via Mallapur bridge, Chengicherla X (Warangal route) and LB Nagar junctions.
