T-20 India-Aus match: Take note of traffic diversions, parking slots

By Newsmeter Network Published on 24 Sept 2022 8:30 AM ISTHyderabad: In connection with the third T-20 World Cup cricket match (India vs Australia) which is scheduled for 25 September at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, the Rachakonda police commissionerate has released a traffic and parking advisory.
The match is expected to have nearly 40,000 spectators, including VVIPS, VIPS, duty officials, and the press visit the stadium.
Here are the parking spots provided for two- and four-wheelers for players, spectators, and duty officers at various places around the stadium:
1. The VIP pass holders coming from the Tarnaka side should proceed towards Habsiguda - NGRI - Ek Minar right turn - Gate No. 1. They should enter the stadium and park their vehicles in A and C parking (inside the stadium).
2. The VIP pass holders coming from Amberpet side should proceed towards Doordarshan - Ramanthapur - Street No. 8 left turn - Gate No. 1 to enter the stadium and park their vehicles at A and C parking slots (inside the stadium).
3. The VIP pass holders coming from Nagole side and Warangal highway side should proceed towards Uppal crossroad - Survey of India - Ek Minar left turn - Gate No. 1 and enter the stadium and park their vehicles at A and C parking slots (inside the stadium).
4. The vehicle pass holders of A and C parking lots are advised to choose Habsiguda - Uppal road only.
5. Two- and four-wheeler parking towards Habsiguda and Uppal Road should park their vehicles on the left side of NGRI Gate No. I to III up to Stadium Metro parking.
6. Two- and four-wheelers coming from Uppal-Habsiguda road should park their vehicles inside the Genpact service road towards the Hindu office lane and park on the left side from Genpact to NGRI Metro Station.
7. Four-wheelers coming from Uppal-Ramanthapur and Ramanthapur-Uppal side should be parked in the cellar of Cinepolis, inside Modern bakery, Shakthi detergent open place, DSL open land (opposite NSL/Arena), Ave Maria International School (Church).
8. Two-wheelers coming from Uppal-Ramanthapur and Ramanthapur-Uppal can park their vehicles in the adjacent lanes of Modern Bakery, Amma Bhagavan Seva lane, Eenadu office lane, KV School to DSL (each side), and LG godown to NSL building (each side).
9. It is prohibited to park four-wheelers on both sides of the main road from Uppal junction to Genpact (towards Habsiguda road).
Restrictions
Between 4 p.m and 12.30 a.m, heavy vehicles are not permitted from Nagole, Chengicherla crossroad, NFC bridge, Habsiguda, and Amberpet side. Pedestrians can access the stadium from any road.
No vehicles will be allowed, except those with vehicle passes, from Ek Minar to LG godown (towards Ramanthapur route). They can proceed from Street No. 8 Habsiguda to Ramanthapur.
Citizens have been advised to take alternate routes to reach their destination in view of the diversions/restrictions and traffic congestion. The traffic diversions and road closures will be removed as soon as the match is over.
