Take note of these traffic diversions on 29 April for Iftaar Daawat, Jummar-Ul-Vida

Hyderabad: In view of Iftaar Daawat which will be hosted on 29 April at LB stadium, traffic congestion is expected around the stadium from 5 p.m to 9 p.m.

The Hyderabad traffic police have requested the public to avoid the stretch from AR petrol pump to BJR statue to Basheerbagh and vice versa. During the programme, either the traffic will be stopped or diverted at the following locations:

· Traffic coming from Chapel Road, Nampally, and proceeding towards BJR statue will not be allowed and will be diverted at AR petrol pump towards PCR.

· Traffic coming from the SBI Gunfoundry side and intending to proceed towards Press Club/Basheerbagh flyover will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Chapel Road at SBI Gunfoundry.

· Traffic coming from Ravindra Bharathi and Hill Fort Road and intending to proceed towards BJR statue will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Sujatha High School at KLK Building, Fateh Maidan.

· Traffic on Basheerbagh flyover will not be allowed to take a right turn at BJR statue and will proceed up to SBI Gunfoundry and take a right turn toward Chapel Road.

· Traffic coming from Narayangua cemetery towards Basheerbagh will be diverted at old MLA Quarters towards Himayatnagar Y junction.

· Traffic coming from King Koti and Boggulkunta to Basheerbagh via Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be diverted at King Koti crossroads towards Tajmahal and Eden Garden.

· Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards PCR will not be allowed and will be diverted at Basheerbagh towards Liberty.

On the same day (29 April), marking the last Friday of Ramzan, Jummar-Ul-Vida prayers will be held at Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad, and Jame-e-Masjid, Secunderabad.

Hence, all the main roads between Charminar and Madina, Charminar and Murgi Chowk, and Charminar and Rajesh Medical Hall, Shahalibanda, will be closed for all types of vehicular traffic from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Traffic will be diverted at the following points:

South zone

1. MADINA JUNCTION: The traffic coming from the Nayapul side towards Charminar will be diverted at Madina junction towards City College.

2. HIMMATPUTA: The traffic coming from the Nagulchintha/Shalibanda areas towards Charminar will be diverted at Himmatpura junction, towards Hari Bowli and Volga Hotel T-junction (Khilwat side).

3. CHOWK MAIDAN KHAN: The traffic coming from the Kotla Alijah towards Charminar will be diverted at Chowk Maidan Khan towards Hafiz Danka Masque and Arman Hotel side.

4. MOTIGALLI: The traffic coming from the Moosabowli areas towards Charminar will be diverted at Motigalli towards Khilwath ground, Rajesh Medical Hall Shalibanda, and Fathe Darwaza Road.

5. ETHEBAR CHOWK: The traffic coming from the Etebar Chowk areas towards Gulzarhouse will be diverted at Etebar Chowk, towards Mandi Miralam Market or Bibi Bazar.

6. SHER E BATIL KAMAN: The traffic coming from Mitti Ka Sher will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and will be diverted from Mitti-ke-Sher Junction towards Ghansi Bazaar to reach High Court Road/Khilwath.

7. LAKKAD KOTE (OLD CP OFFICE JUNCTION): The traffic coming from APAT side will be diverted at Lakkad Kote and sent towards (Old CP Office lane) Mandi Miriam Market.

Parking places on south zone

1. Gulzar Function Hall: People coming from Madina, Pathargatti, can park their vehicles at Gulzar Function Hall.

2. Mufeed ul Anam Ground parking: People coming from Yakuthpura-Noorkhan Bazar, Talab Katta, and Dabeerpura can park their vehicles at Mufid Ul Anam Grounds.

3. Charminar Bus terminal parking: People coming from Chandrayangutta and Falaknuma areas will park their vehicles at the Charminar bus terminal.

4. Ayurvedic Unani Hospital parking: Devotees coming from Santooshnagar Talab Katta, Moghalpura can park their vehicles at AU Hospital parking.

5. Khilwat Ground parking: People coming from Misrigunj, Fathe Darwaza, Hussaini Alam, and Puranapool sides can park their vehicles at Khilwat Ground.

6. Old Pension office/URDU Maskan opp. Chowmohalla Palace: The traffic coming from the western side of the Mecca Masjid, i.e., Kishanbagh Bahadurpura Hussanui Alam can park their vehicles at the above-mentioned parking places.

7. GHMC office Sardar Mahal: Vehicle parking for police officers on duty.

North zone

1. Subhash Road in Secunderabad (between Mahankali PS and Ramgopalpet Road junction on the MG road) will be closed for vehicular traffic from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. There will be a free flow of traffic from Rocha Bazar to Ranigunj.

2. Traffic coming from Bata crossroads towards Subhash Road will be diverted at Mahankali PS towards the lane to the left of the PS and towards Lala temple.

These restrictions apply to RTC buses as well. City buses going towards Charminar will be terminated at Afzalgunj. RTC buses (Rayalaseema sector) going to districts via Nayapool, Madina from MGBS, Imlibun will proceed via Chadarghat Rotary Nalgonda X–Chanchalguda junction–Saidabad T-junction-IS Sadan–DMRL junction–Midhani Junction–MBNR flyover–Bandlaguda– towards Aramghar.
