TDR certificate fraud: Deputy City Planner Krishna Mohan among 4 GHMC officials arrested

Hyderabad: Police have arrested four officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for forgery and cheating.

The accused have been identified as Mohd Khabirullah Khan, (town planning section), N Krishna Mohan (Deputy City Planner), K Srinivas Reddy (Deputy Inspector of Survey ā€“ Land Acquisition), and A Deepak Kumar (Surveyor ā€“ Land Acquisition).

A case was filed by the Rajendranagar police against a group of people who had conspired with three private individuals, Mukram, Ashfaq, and Mukhtadir, and obtained a TDR (Transferable Development Rights) certificate.

Brief facts of the case

DCP Rajendranagar Ch Srinivas said that the GHMC had proposed to take up road widening from Dairy Farm, PVNR Pillar No. 213 to Kismatpur village of Gandpet Mandal, Ranga Reddy district., which was passing through survey numbers 43, 44 & 46 of Upperpally village.

Previously, Mukram and the other two allegedly presented false documents stating that they were the owners of land affected by a road widening.

"The trio brought GHMC officials in the loop and secured a TDR certificate. A builder purchased the TDR for Rs. 5.78 crore. The proceeds divided among the seven suspects,ā€ the DCP said.

All the arrested were sent to judicial remand.
