I want Telangana to become a hub for boxing: World champion Nikhat Zareen

Her dedication to the sport and her commitment to helping others achieve their dreams has inspired many aspiring boxers in India and around the world.
“I have always dreamt of creating an academy that will inspire generations of boxers to come,” said Zareen. “Boxing has given me so much, and I want to give back to the sport that has made me who I am today. My aim is to make Telangana a proud boxing hub and help the state produce more world-class boxers.”
Zareen envisions a safe and supportive environment for boxers to train, with world-class facilities and training programmes focused on safety and quality. “My goal is to provide the best possible training facility for boxers,” Zareen said.
“Overcoming several obstacles has helped me become the champion boxer I am today. I firmly believe that with fervour and persistence, one can achieve anything,” she added.
Zareen’s commitment to her community and the sport of boxing is admirable. Her dream of building a top-class boxing academy in Telangana is sure to be a huge success and will help aspiring boxers achieve their dreams.
“I want Telangana to become a hub for boxing, and I am committed to making that happen,” said Zareen, adding, “With the right facilities and support, anything is possible.”
Zareen has been in touch with MLC Kavitha and has requested support to make her vision a reality. She is hopeful that with their assistance, she can build an international-level academy to provide opportunities for future generations of Telangana boxers.
“Boxing is not just a sport, but a way of life, and it teaches us the importance of discipline, dedication, and hard work. I want to share these values with the future generations of boxers,” said Zareen.
Recognition from TS government
In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has announced a significant reward for Nikhat Zareen. He declared a cash prize of Rs. 2 crores and a piece of land in Banjara Hills. Additionally, he assured Zareen a coveted Group-1 job as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
“I am deeply grateful for the support of the Telangana government and the recognition of my achievements,” said Zareen. “I am excited to continue promoting the sport of boxing and inspiring the next generation of boxers.”
Strict diet and self-care
Zareen’s success in the sport of boxing is not only due to her talent and hard work but also her healthy diet and relaxation methods. Zareen revealed, “I have a personal nutritionist who creates a strict diet plan for me. It involves cutting out sugary treats, cheese, and other indulgences. But I’ve found that sticking to this healthy diet helps me maintain my weight while also keeping me strong.”
