Hyderabad: M Tirupathi Reddy, a member of the Telangana BJP state committee, has been reportedly kidnapped by unidentified individuals in Alwal, Hyderabad. The incident occurred near the Alwal Tehsildar’s office on July 13 afternoon.

Tirupathi Reddy, originally from Dubbakuntapalli, Jangaon district, resides in Kushaiguda, Hyderabad with his family. His wife, M Sujatha, has filed a police complaint regarding his 'kidnap.'

According to her complaint, the kidnapping is believed to be related to a dispute over a 5,929-yard land parcel. M Sujatha stated that her husband’s phone stopped working shortly after leaving the Alwal Tehsildar’s office, deepening the mystery surrounding his disappearance. This led her to believe that his rivals may have kidnapped him or had him kidnapped.

Tirupathi Reddy, an active member of the BJP, is considered a potential candidate for the Jangaon ticket.

Speaking to NewsMeter, Alwal inspector J Upender Rao said, “Tirupati Reddy boarded an auto alone and got down at Ghatkesar.” The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter, including reviewing CCTV footage for any possible leads.
