Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) recently completed the construction of the first-ever skywalk.
Spanning a total length of 660 meters, the skywalk features three different heights, namely 3 meters, 4 meters, and 6 meters, designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. It incorporates six hop stations equipped with staircases and elevators, ensuring easy access for the public.
The structure of the skywalk consists of a mild steel sub-structure, with a deck featuring railings and strategically placed fabric roofing for added comfort.

This unique addition to Uppal Junction is expected to significantly ease the difficulties faced by pedestrians in reaching their destinations across the junction, providing a safer and more peaceful experience.

Uppal Junction is one of the busiest interchanges in Hyderabad. The junction, surrounded by schools, businesses, residential areas, a sports stadium, and a metro station, witnesses heavy pedestrian traffic.
