Telangana Formation Day: Check these traffic diversions in Hyderabad on Friday

Hyderabad: Telangana government has issued a traffic advisory given State Formation Day on June 2. Due to VIP vehicular movement from 6 am to 2 pm, there will be some light traffic congestion. To prevent trouble for commuters, some traffic diversions will be put in place.

For uninterrupted vehicle flow, the following traffic detours will be put in place as needed:

Formation Day program at Secretariat:

1) Traffic will not be permitted between Telugu Thalli Junction and VV Statue, Necklace Rotary, and NTR Marg.

2) Traffic headed towards Necklace Rotary from Khairatabad, Panjagutta, or Somajiguda will be detoured at the VV Statue in the direction of Shadan-Nirankari. However, Shadan Nirankari/Somajiguda traffic will be blocked for a short while during VVIP movements.

3) Use of the Khairatabad flyover will not be permitted for traffic heading towards Necklace Rotary from Nirankari/Chintalbasthi.

4) Vehicles traveling from Iqbal Minar Junction and wishing to travel to the Tank Bund, Ranigunj, and Liberty will not be permitted to do so. Instead, they are instructed to take the Telugu Thalli Flyover to the Katta Maisamma Junction-Lower Tank Bund.

5) Traffic heading towards NTR Marg from Tank Bund and Telugu Thalli will not be permitted and will instead be detoured at Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.

6) Traffic from BRKR Bhavan heading towards NTR Marg will not be permitted and will instead be detoured through Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.

7) Traffic will be redirected at Bada Ganesh towards Rajdoot lane coming from the Bada Ganesh lane heading towards the Imax/Necklace Rotary and the Mint lane.

8) Traffic entering the Mint lane from the direction of Bada Ganesh will not be permitted and will instead be routed to the Telugu Thalli flyover.

9) Due to Telangana Formation Day celebrations at the Secretariat, NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, and Lumbini Park will be closed on June 2, 2023.

RTC Buses Diversion:

The Tank Bund Road should be avoided by RTC buses traveling from Afzalgunj to Secunderabad in favor of Telugu Thalli Flyover, Katta Maisamma, Lower Tank Bund, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda.

Programme at Amaraveerula Stupam at Gun Park, opp; Assembly, Hyderabad:

1) Panjagutta-bound traffic heading towards Raj Bhavan will be temporarily suspended.

2) Traffic heading towards the VV Statue from Somajiguda will be blocked for a short period.

3) At Nirankari, the flow of traffic from Ayodhya would be temporarily halted.

4) The flow of traffic from Ravindra Bharathi will be halted briefly near Iqbal Minar.

5) The Iqbal Minar to Old PS Saifabad traffic will be blocked for a time.

6) Old PS Saifabad to Ravindra Bharathi traffic will be temporarily suspended.

7) Old PS Saifabad to Iqbal Minar traffic will be temporarily suspended.

8) Traffic heading towards Ravindra Bharathi/PCR Junction from the BJR Statue/Nampalli side will be temporarily blocked at AR Petrol Pump.

9) The flow of traffic from Basheerbagh in the direction of PCR will be halted temporarily.

4. Mint Compound Road

5. Telugu Thalli Junction

6. Necklace Rotary

7. Nallagutta Junction
