Hyderabad: Siddipet Police have deployed 10 drone cameras to keep check on people who might try to influence voters with liquor and money.

N Swetha, Commissioner of Police, highlighted the swift response system in place, ensuring immediate police action upon receiving information about any such activities.

A robust security apparatus, comprising 2,632 personnel, including Central forces, has been strategically positioned across the district to facilitate smooth polling.

Commissioner Swetha emphasized the need for political parties to refrain from wearing logos or banners during Wednesday and Thursday's voting, warning of legal consequences for attempts to influence voters through means such as offering liquor, toddy, or money.

Taking a firm stance against potential communal violence, the Commissioner underscored that stern action would be initiated against those displaying symbols or logos that could incite tensions. Outsiders were promptly instructed to leave the district to maintain a secure environment.

Utilizing technology to its fullest extent, Commissioner Swetha called for cooperation from political parties and citizens alike to ensure the peaceful completion of the election process.

Twelve surveillance teams actively patrol the district, inspecting vehicles, while 26 model code of conduct teams and 12 flying squad teams are diligently executing their responsibilities.
