Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Secondary Education has declared the SSC (Class 10) examination results for 2025, showing a continued upward trend in student performance.

Among the 4.96 lakh regular candidates who appeared for the exams, 92.78% passed, an increase from 91.31% in 2024. Once again, girls outperformed boys, recording a 94.26% pass rate compared to 91.32% for boys.

Performance Shows Steady Growth

A total of 5,09,403 students appeared for the Telangana SSC 2025 exams, held between March 21 and April 4. Of these, 4,96,374 were regular candidates. Officials noted that the rise in pass percentage reflects the effectiveness of recent policy changes in the school education system.

Gender Gap in Results Continues

Girls continued their lead over boys in performance. The 2.94% gap in pass percentage reflects a consistent pattern observed over the past few years. Of the 2,50,508 girls who appeared, a majority secured first-class or above.

End of Internal Assessments from 2025

This year’s results also mark a shift in the exam model. For the 2024–25 academic year, the board discontinued the 20-mark internal formative assessments. Student performance was assessed solely on the basis of the final written examinations.

Exam Participation and Logistics

The exams were conducted in 2,650 centres across the state, covering 11,547 schools. The early release of the timetable on December 20, 2024, was aimed at improving preparation time for students. Many school heads credited this move with helping students manage their study schedules better.

Revaluation and Supplementary Options

Students who are dissatisfied with their marks can apply for recounting (Rs. 500) or revaluation (Rs. 1000) through their schools. Applications must be submitted within 15 days of the result declaration. Revaluation results are expected in June 2025, ahead of supplementary exams likely scheduled for late June or July.

Result Access and Next Steps

Students can access their results via official Telangana Board websites. The marks secured in these exams will determine eligibility for various junior colleges and vocational courses.

With results showing steady improvement, the focus now shifts to supporting students in making informed choices for their future academic and career paths.
