Telangana: Take unlimited trips within these 4 districts with Palle Velugu Town Bus Pass

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) launched the Palle Velugu Town Bus Pass for the convenience of passengers on Monday. The pass will be available in Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, and Nalgonda district centres from July 18.

With the pass, passengers can take unlimited trips within 10 km of Karimnagar and Mahbubnagar, and 5 km in Nizamabad and Nalgonda. The pass is priced at Rs 800 per month for a 10-km range and Rs 500 for a 5-km range.

On the occasion of launching the pass, TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar said that the pass is introduced to reduce the financial burden of passengers who travel frequently in the district centres.

ā€œEmployees and small traders travel a lot in the district centres. The actual cost of the 10 km range for the Palle Velugu Town Bus is Rs. 1200, while the cost for the 5 km range is Rs. 800. To reduce the financial burden on passengers, TSRTC has provided a discounted price and introduced the Palle Velugu Town Bus Pass. Firstly, we are implementing this pass in Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad and Nalgonda district centres. Depending on the feedback, we will expand the bus pass to more areas,ā€ said Sajjanar.

During the event, posters showcasing the Palle Velugu Town Bus Pass were unveiled. The introduction of this pass aims to extend the benefits already enjoyed by passengers in Hyderabad and Warangal to those travelling within the district centres.

To make the pass easily accessible to passengers, it will be available for purchase at all TSRTC bus stations located in Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, and Nalgonda district centres starting from July 18.

Passengers can also conveniently purchase the pass online through the official TSRTC website.

Passengers can contact TSRTC call centre numbers 040-69440000, 040-23450033 for more information.
