Telangana to hold Cabinet meeting on June 5; Cabinet expansion, growth around 100 km of Hyderabad on agenda
The report of the National Dam Safety Authority is also to be discussed.

Hyderabad: Dearness Allowance, cabinet expansion, local bodies elections, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme, and growth around 100 kilometers of Hyderabad are some of the main issues expected to be discussed in the crucial Telangana Cabinet meeting on June 5.
The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also going to take up for discussion the dearness allowance of government employees, the Medigadda barrage vigilance report, and the National Dam Safety Authority report.
Growth around 100 km of Hyderabad
According to sources in the Congress party, "The main focus of the Telangana government is going to be on growth around Hyderabad. This will mean in terms of investments that are to come from different industries for the city. The presence of the Japanese delegation on the Telangana Formation Day at the Parade Ground is an indication of how the model of different cities will not only be adapted, but their assistance will also be taken in developing the city."
Japan model to be used for Hyderabad
100 kilometers around Hyderabad is going to be the focus of the Telangana government, and the model of Japan in developing the cities is under consideration.
According to sources, "The Japanese delegation is here to survey the city of Hyderabad, and their inputs will be taken into development. This is being planned as the Musi-Redevelopment Project is an initiative that the government is very serious about."
The discussion will also be on the development of Future City and how the length and breadth of Hyderabad are connected.
Govt employees allowance
The dearness allowance of government employees and retirement benefits are also likely to be discussed and approved by the government. The issue of employees is to be discussed in detail, and key decisions will be made.
Kaleshwaram project
The Kaleshwaram irrigation project report of the vigilance department has identified 17 government officials who have not followed the proper safety and construction parameters.
The vigilance report has named the engineer-in-chief and also low-level engineers for lapses in design, supervision of the project, quality control, and execution.
The Cabinet will discuss the report in detail and how to proceed with the action recommended.
Additionally, the report of the National Dam Safety Authority is also to be discussed.
Water sharing disputes
The construction of Banakacherla is being actively pursued by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, which will affect the water distribution for Telangana. For this reason, the Telangana Cabinet will discuss how to respond to the emerging situation.
AP CM Naidu has the support of the central government, and there is a need to highlight the issue as Telangana will be neglected, said sources in the Congress party.
Other issues on the list
The other issues on the list are:
New Road Policy.
Conducting local body elections in the state.
Backward class reservations and how the government must proceed with them.
Depositing of Rythu Bharosa for the farmers in the state.
Integrated schools.
