Hyderabad: Telugu film producer Kedar Selagamsetty (42) passed away while sleeping at his residence in Palm Jumeirah, one of the islands in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Tuesday.
However, the cause of death has not yet been determined. Kedar has relocated to Dubai and ventured into the real-estate business. He was living in the apartment along with his daughter, according to reports.
Kedar was also the co-founder of Jubilee 800 pub in Jubilee Hills Road no.45, Hyderabad. He was a close aide of Allu Arjun, Bunny Vasu and Vijay Deverakonda. Kedar's passion for movies inspired him to go into producing.
Kedar even presented the critically praised "Muthayya" film before producing Anand Deverakonda's movie Gam Gam Ganesha in 2024. According to reports, Kedar had also announced a big project with director Sukumar and Vijay Deverakonda.
However, the project was delayed and never came to fruition because Sukumar was too busy with the Pushpa franchise. In February 2024, Kedar was also among the Tollywood celebrities purportedly arrested by the Hyderabad Police in a narcotics bust at the Gachibowli Radisson Hotel
