Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) has entered into a collaborative agreement with Edistys Foundation and Kriyate Edutech for the “Drug-Free Wellness” initiative here on Saturday.
This pioneering online program is designed to empower teen-aged students and other relevant target audiences across Telangana to make informed and healthy choices regarding drugs and substance abuse.
The “Drug-Free Wellness” course, featuring an interactive format and engaging content, aims to educate students on the dangers of drugs and substance abuse, empower them to make responsible life choices and engage stakeholders like parents and educational institutions to collectively combat the drug menace and create a positive impact on students’ lives.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate issued jointly by TGANB and other partners reflecting the collaborative effort and commitment of the partners.
Speaking on the occasion, TGANB director Sandeep Shandilya emphasized the critical need to address substance abuse through proactive education and awareness. The “Drug-Free Wellness” initiative represents a significant step toward creating a healthier, drug-free Telangana, equipping students with the knowledge to resist substance abuse and contribute positively to society, he added.
Samskriti Konduru and Sriharshitha Chada, representatives from Kriyate Edutech and Edistys Foundation respectively, reiterated their dedication to raising awareness and fostering partnerships to drive meaningful societal change.
