TGPSC files appeal against Group-I recruitment in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) on Monday filed an appeal challenging the interim orders issued by the Telangana High Court single bench comprising Justice Namavarapu Rajeshwara Rao to temporarily stop Group-1 recruitment in Telangana.

The Chief Justice bench will hear the petition on Tuesday. It is known that some candidates have approached the High Court alleging irregularities in Group-1 recruitment. The petitioners alleged that the evaluation of the mains exams was not done properly, and the rules were not followed in the allocation of examination centers.

The bench of Justice Namavarapu Rajeswara Rao, which recently took up the matter, issued interim orders to temporarily stop the recruitment. Moreover, the Single Bench gave an opportunity to examine the certificates. TGPSC filed a petition in the CJ's bench challenging these orders.

The counsel representing TGPSC told the single bench that an appeal had been filed on the CJ's bench. In this context, Justice Namavarapu Rajeswara Rao adjourned the hearing on the same issue scheduled for Monday to Wednesday.
