TGSPDCL rolls out 167 ‘electricity ambulances’ for emergencies; here’s list of helpline numbers

Hyderabad: With extremely heavy rainfall predicted across Telangana, TGSPDCL has deployed as many as 167 emergency response vehicles, functioning as ‘electricity ambulances,’ along with trained personnel and equipment to tackle any critical situation.

Meanwhile, 213 section offices under the Fuse Call Office system in Greater Hyderabad are fully operational with GPS-enabled autos to ensure quick action during emergencies.

Staff on high alert 24/7

TGSPDCL CMD Musharraf Farooqui has directed all engineers and staff to remain at headquarters around the clock, cancelling all leaves.

“Nearly 200 officials from corporate, zonal, and circle offices have been assigned to field-level operation circles. O&M staff are also stationed at government hospitals to maintain an uninterrupted electricity supply,” he said.

Field inspection and preparedness checks

As part of readiness measures, CMD Farooqui, accompanied by Director of Operations Dr Narasimhaulu, inspected the Hussain Sagar Substation on Wednesday.

The inspection focused on the functionality of emergency response vehicles and GPS-equipped Fuse Call Office autos.

Farooqui highlighted the risk posed to electricity panels in apartment basements during heavy rains and instructed field officers to exercise extra caution.
