Hyderabad: Ahead of the IPL match, young Mumbai Indian player Tilak Varma hosted a dinner for his teammates at his home in Hyderabad on Monday night.
Mumbai Indian team is currently in Hyderabad for their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2023 today night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Mumbai Indians will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight
Tilak Varma shared posts of his dinner time with the team. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, team members Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Arjun Tendulkar, Tim Davi, and several other players are seen posing for pictures alongside Tilak Varma and his family members.
“Honoured to host my @mipaltan family at my home for dinner. A wonderful night that my family and I won’t forget. Thank you for coming ☺️💙,” he Tweeted.
The striking left-hander is playing his first IPL game in his home city. All hopes are on Tilak for today's match, especially for the Hyderabadis.
In the first match between Mumbai VS RCB, Tilak scored 84 runs. After 15 overs, they were 102 for 5 but Tilak Varma's magnificent 84 not out off 46 balls gave them something to fight with. Though Mumbai Indians lost the match, he has got a good fan base.
Tilak made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy on 30 December 2018. He made his T20 debut for Hyderabad in 2018-19. In February 2022, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the auction for the 2022 IPL.
