By Anji Published on 14 July 2022 2:31 PM GMTHyderabad: The residents of Casa Rouge Apartment in Kondapur have built a makeshift dog shelter to shelter stray dogs. For two years now, stray dogs have been taking shelter here.
They have also set up beds for stray dogs inside the shelter. The residents are also providing the stray dogs with food and drinking water every day.
This dog shelter is located in front of Casa Rouge Apartment at No. 8, Jubilee Gardens Road, in Kondapur, Hyderabad. Ambika Bahri, a resident of Casa Rouge Apartments, came up with the idea for the shelter. The residents of the apartment helped set up the shelter.
The security staff of the apartment said residents bring food every morning, noon, and evening. "It has been raining heavily for the last five days. Passers-by say this shelter is very useful for stray dogs at such times. We also fill the water tank arranged for the dogs to drink. They are also very grateful to us," said another security personnel.
The founder of Youngistaan Foundation and pet lover Arun took a video of the dog shelter and posted it on Twitter. The video has gone viral and already has 30k views on Twitter. "This is a wonderful thing. It should be established in more places and communities," said Arun.
