Railway police arrested a person for making a hoax call about bombs planted on a train.

Police swung into action after an anonymous caller said explosives have been planted on Visakhapatnam -Mumbai train.
A joint team of Crime Investigation Branch (CIB), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Special Investigation Branch (SIB), and Government Railway Police (GRP) located the bomb caller in Bahadurpally, Hyderabad, and apprehended him subsequently.
He was identified as Thorri Karthik, 19, a resident of Gandhi Maisamma Colony, Bahadurpally, Hyderabad. The teenager told the police that he was testing their alertness.
Earlier, security agencies went into a tizzy after the call was made to the Government Railway Police around 10.30 am. Immediately, the Railway Police along with the bomb disposal squad launched the operation.
Officials even stopped the Visakhapatnam ā Lokmanya Tilak train at Kazipet in Warangal and also the Konark Express at Cherlapally on the city outskirts. They carried out thorough checks in the compartments for explosives. They checked all objects that appeared suspicious. However, nothing was found.

The bomb threat created panic among passengers. The trains had to be stopped for more than two hours for checking.
