Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Traffic Police announced traffic diversions and parking arrangements from 7 am to 11:30 am, in view of the large congregation expected for Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) prayers at Mir Alam Tank Eidgah here on Saturday.

Commuters are advised to take note of the following key traffic changes:

Traffic diversions and entry points

From Puranapul, Kamatipura, Kishanbagh:

Vehicles are allowed via the Bahadurpura X Roads. General traffic will be diverted via Dr. Manmohan Singh Flyover (Zoo Park to Aramghar).

Parking Locations: Beside the Zoo Park wall

Opposite Masjid Allah-ho-Akbar (open space)

From Shivarampally & Danamma Huts, vehicles are allowed through the Danamma Huts X Roads.

General traffic diverted towards Shastripuram, NS Kunta.

Parking Locations: Modern Petrol Pump (Eidgah Road)

Inside & outside Mir Alam filter bed

Single-line parking: Sufi Cars to Modern Petrol Pump (4-wheelers)

Yadav Parking to Legacy Palace

From Kalapather:

Vehicles permitted via Kalapather L&O Police Station. General traffic diverted towards Mochi Colony, Bahadurpura, Shamsheergunj, Nawab Saheb Kunta.

Parking Locations: Mass Material Shop Parking

Indian Oil Petrol Bunk

Heavy Vehicle Restrictions:

From Puranapul: May be diverted towards Ziyaguda and City College, based on crowd levels.

From Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, Mailardevpally: Will be allowed via Dr. Manmohan Singh Flyover.

Towards Shamshabad/Rajendranagar: Allowed via Dr. Manmohan Singh Flyover during prayer hours.

Public advisory

All commuters are requested to avoid the Eidgah route during prayer time and use alternate routes. In case of emergency travel assistance, citizens can contact the Traffic Helpline: 9010203626. The Hyderabad Traffic Police seeks the public’s cooperation for the peaceful and safe conduct of Eid prayers.
