A traffic home guard officer is winning hearts for handing over costly Gold Pusthela Thadu to a woman who accidentally dropped it at Kondapur X Road last month.
On October 28, Konda Mamatha, 35 of Karmika Nagar visited her mother in Kondapur. While returning home, she boarded RTC Bus at Kondapur X Road. However, she accidentally dropped her Gold Pusthela Thadu weighing about 52 grams and costing Rs two lakh.
Traffic home guard Mallesh, however, picked up the ornament and informed the Gachibowli Police station. Gachibowli Police sent a message to all police stations to enquire about any missing report of Gold Pusthela Thadu. However, no one had lodged any report.
Later Gachibowli Police took to social media to find the rightful owner of the ornament. After seeing the social media post, Mamatha approached Gachibowli Police Station and narrated the incident. After inquiry, police handed over Gold Pusthela Thadu to her.
Cyberabad DCP Vijay Kumar appreciated traffic home guard officer Mallesh for his honesty.
DCP Traffic praised the role of the Traffic Officers for winning the hearts of people. Mamatha and her husband Narender also thanked the police for prompt action.
