Addressing the press, Hyderabad traffic commissioner A.V Ranganath said, "During the peak time—between 6:30 and 8 p.m—it takes 25-30 minutes to cross the 2.5km stretch."

About the reason for heavy traffic, Mr. Ranganath said, "With the junctions, Jubilee check-post, Journalist Colony, Film Nagar, and Road no. 45 are close to each other with less than half a km distance. This is also causing the congestion. Apart from that, vehicular traffic has increased exponentially."

"This is a trial run extending for a week with an objective of decongesting Film Nagar Junction – Road no. 45 Junction – Jubilee Hills Check Post corridor by using parallel roads available. Inconvenience is regretted and commuters are requested to cooperate in this trial run. We will observe and change the route accordingly. There might be chaos for the first two days, but we hope this will help solve a larger traffic issue." the officials added.
