Hyderabad: Goshamahal TRS leader Nanda Kishore Vyas also known as Nandu Bilal was arrested by the Abids police on Friday when he tried to disrupt Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's public address organised by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee at MJ Market in Hyderabad.

The incident took place when Mr. Sarma was addressing the devotees at MJ Market. According to sources, he was reportedly speaking against Telangana Chief Minister and TRS leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao which provoked Bilal and other TRS leaders. Bilal reportedly tried to snatch the mic and objected to the Assam CM's presence on the stage.

According to sources, mild tension prevailed at MJ Market following the incident between TRS and BJP leaders.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sarma also visited the Bhagyalakshmi temple near Charminar.

Following his arrest, Bilal said, "The government has made all arrangements for Ganesh immersion. Why did Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma come here to spread the message of Ganesh utsav but started speaking against our CM KCR? We requested him to leave and that we will not tolerate anything spoken against our CM. We also warn the BJP that if any of their leaders come from outside and speak against CM KCR, we will not tolerate it. Uske muh tod ke jawab denge."

Meanwhile, BJP Telangana condemned the incident and said TRS's new agenda seems to be physical confrontations. "A local TRS leader barging onto the Ganesh Utsav Committee stage and dismantling the mic, while the chief guest for the event Assam Chief Minister Hemanth Biswas Sarma was on stage is very confrontational. This act has also breached the security protocol of the Assam Chief Minister," read the party's statement by BJP spokesperson K. Krishna Sagar Rao.

Further, Mr. Rao demanded a clarification from KCR on the rise of physical attacks by TRS leaders on BJP leaders and asked if it was the new political agenda of the party.
