TSPSC leak: Revanth accuses KTR government of cover-up, announces protests in April

Hyderabad: TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Friday strongly condemned the actions of TSPSC, which he claimed are affecting the lives of 50 lakh unemployed people, and said the government’s failure to investigate the irregularities in the exams is a cover-up.

He said that as part of the protest activities, he and the Congress Party wanted to participate in the protest to stand by the unemployed in Osmania University on 24 and 25 March. However, the state government restricted them and put hundreds of policemen to put him under house arrest.

Revanth Reddy was addressing the media at his residence.

He accused the state government of resorting to detentions to cover up their crimes and stated that the appointment of ineligible candidates in the TSPSC is a clear violation of rules. Revanth called for the inclusion of all sections under the purview of the anti-corruption department in the case and demanded the investigation of big heads by the SIT. He accused KTR of being directly involved in the TSPSC paper leak case and said the 2021 appointment of TSPSC members was against the rules.

In addition, Revanth Reddy announced that they will organise large-scale unemployment protest in Hyderabad in the second week of April and that they will meet with students from all universities from 1 April. The Congress Party will also go to Delhi to complain to the director of ED and CBI, he said.

He also expressed his concern about the actions taken against Rahul Gandhi by the Centre and said the BJP party is attacking him after his Bharat Jodo Yatra. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of acting like a Kaliyuga dictator and said there is an undeclared state of emergency in the country. Finally, Revanth Reddy announced that the padayatra is postponed to 6 April in view of the protest activities.
