Two youth were run over by a lorry after they fell off their bike in an attempt to avoid a pothole near Mahatama Gandhi Bus Stop (MGBS) at Imlibun on Monday.

Hyderabad: Two youth were run over by a lorry after they fell off their bike in an attempt to avoid a pothole near Mahatama Gandhi Bus Stop (MGBS) at Imlibun on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Fasih Khan, 19, and Mohsin Khan, 23, of Azampura area in Chaderghat.

Police said the deceased were without the helmet and heading home when the accident occurred. Police said they lost control over the bike while trying to negotiate a pothole near the Imlibun bus stand. A speedy lorry coming from behind hit them hard killing the duo on the spot.

Later the bodies were shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post mortem. The police have booked a case against a lorry driver under section 304A (Causing death by negligence) of IPC and arrested him.
