Hyderabad: Narsingi Police booked two individuals for allegedly threatening a resident in the name of the HYDRAA. The accused reportedly visited a house in Alkapur Township, Gandipet Mandal, claiming they were from HYDRAA and threatened to demolish the property.

Accused posed as HYDRAA representatives

The incident occurred on June 23 at approximately 3:20 PM. The duo identified as Miriyala Vedantham (22) and Yelisetti Shoban Babu arrived at the residence in a black car. Guntakal Mallikarjun, who was working at the property, stated in his complaint that the two men began surveying the house. When confronted, they introduced themselves as representatives from HYDRAA.

When asked about their purpose, the men allegedly said they were collecting information related to the demolition of the house. They left the premises without interacting with the homeowner after being asked to speak directly to him.

Police identify and detain the suspects

Police investigations revealed that Vedantham, a driver from Karimnagar district, currently resides in Alkapur Township. Shoban Babu, the second accused, is a retired RTC employee living in Esteem Residency, Puppalaguda, Manikonda. Both were taken into custody by the Narsingi police for further questioning.

HYDRAA denounces misuse of its Name

In response to the incident, HYDRAA released an official statement condemning the unauthorized use of its name for criminal activities. The organization made it clear that it has no connection with the individuals involved.

HYDRAA warned that anyone misusing its name for threats, fraud, or any illegal act will face strict legal action. It also stated that if any of its own employees are found misusing the brand’s identity, they will be dealt with severely.

Public urged to report such incidents

HYDRAA has appealed to the public to report any such impersonation immediately. Citizens can share information, including photographs or video evidence, via WhatsApp at 8712406899. The organization emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
