Hyderabad: In a meeting with GHMC officials, CM Revanth says strict action will be taken if roads are dirty and poor sanitation 

Hyderabad: Unclean roads? Officials will be suspended on the spot. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy reviews Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) works, a portfolio he holds, in a meeting on Tuesday.

This is the first meeting after the corporation was split into three: Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Hyderabad, headed by Special Secretary Jayesh Ranjan.

The Chief Minister has ordered a detailed study on installing smart poles across the city, especially at major junctions.

What was discussed?

- Skywalk bridges should be examined under the PPP model in high-traffic areas.

- A multi-level car parking facility should be set up near the Necklace Road railway station.

- Strict vigilance is required in the installation of advertising boards.

- Measures must ensure that government revenue is not affected.

- 10 per cent of advertising boards should be reserved for government programmes.

- Advertising board fees should be collected once every year.

- Strong action must be taken against unauthorised hoardings.

- Proper care should be taken in the maintenance of streetlights.

- A unified system should be implemented for streetlight management.

- Issues arising from the proposed division of GHMC should be resolved without delay.

- Special focus must be given to sanitation in the three corporations.

CM asks for details on all parks in the city

The Chief Minister said he will soon tour every zone personally. He warned that officials will be suspended on the spot if roads are found unclean.

Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners were instructed to be in the field early in the morning. He also directed officials to collect complete details of all parks in the city.
