Hyderabad: A techie working for Lenovo died by suicide here at KPHB on Sunday. He was reportedly upset over his sister-in-law calling the police over a domestic issue.

The victim, D.P Prasad, is from Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. He was living with his wife Priyanka in a rented flat at KPHB. For the past few days, Priyanka's relative Supriya was also staying with the couple.

Recently, the couple had been quarrelling over petty issues. A couple of times, the issue was taken up with the elders of both families and they had come to a compromise. Following this Prasad had said he would take good care of his wife and assured her that he would not quarrel with her again.

However, during the past week, he had been quarelling with his wife. It was also found that he was addicted to alcohol.

Late on Thursday night, Prasad picked a quarrel with his wife. Worried about this, Supriya called the police. The cops came to their flat and asked both women and Prasad to accompany them to the police station to lodge a complaint. Hearing this, Prasad asked them to give him some time and went into the bedroom. However, he did not come out for a long time.

Later, Supriya and Priyanka went to the room and found his body. The police registered a case and started an investigation. No suicide note was found, they said.
