Fire breaks out at Videm Silk Store & Furniture Showroom, Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad.

A massive fire broke out at Videm Silk Store and Videm Furniture Showroom in Vanasthalipuram on Friday night.

The shops closed at 9 pm. An hour later, the fire broke out.

Local residents immediately informed the owner, police, and fire department. Five firefighters worked diligently for three hours to extinguish the flames.

There were no casualties as nobody was present at the shops, Assistant District Fire Officer Shrinayya said. Goods worth Rs 5 crore were destroyed, owner Mukteshwar said.

Due to the proximity of these showrooms to the Vijayawada national highway, there was a traffic jam for some time. The shop owner emphasized that the main power supply had been switched off during closing time, ruling out the possibility of a short circuit.

It is worth mentioning that a legal battle is going on about the property. It has led to suspicions that this incident might have been committed intentionally. A case has been registered in Vanasthalipuram police station.
