Hyderabad: HYDRAA personnel rescued a 35-year-old man from being swept away in a flooded stormwater drain near Yakutpura Railway Station in the Old City on Wednesday.
Incident near Yakutpura Railway Station
According to HYDRAA officials, Gouse, a local resident, was attempting to collect tree branches for goat fodder when he accidentally slipped into the raging floodwater drain. The powerful current dragged him downstream, leaving no safe access for an immediate rescue.
Alert residents, rapid deployment
Nearby residents who witnessed the incident quickly alerted HYDRAA personnel, who were working about 100 metres at Kachamoori, clearing debris.
