Week-long national science festival Vigyan Sarvatra Pujayte kicks off

Various stalls displaying scientific equipment from departments like ICMR and ISRO have been set up for the festival. It primarily aims to provide students an insight into the scientific world.

Week-long national science festival Vigyan Sarvatra Pujayte kicks off

Hyderabad: The national science week festival, Vigyan Sarvatra Pujayte, kicked off on Tuesday. It was inaugurated at the ICMR National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) by Dr. B.V.H.S Murthy, the director-general, Missiles and Strategic Systems, DRDO.

NIN is one of the 15 centres chosen to hold the festival from 22 to 28 February. The festival is being organized as part of the 75 years of Independence Azadika Amrit Mahotsav and is being led by the Central ministry of culture and the office of the principal scientific advisor along with DST, PBT, CSIR, MOES, ISRO, DAE, ICMR, DRDO.

Various stalls displaying scientific equipment from departments like ICMR and ISRO have been set up for the festival. It primarily aims to provide students an insight into the scientific world.

As part of the festival, various lectures will be given by experts from institutions across the state. Two lectures on 'Annals of Science' are scheduled for 23 February. A seminar on 'Milestones of Modern Science and Technology' is scheduled for 24 February. Union minister of tourism, culture and NE regional development G. Kishan Reddy will visit the festival on 26 February.

Several other lectures on innovation, science, and technology are scheduled throughout the week.
