What lockdown norms?: Hyderabad bride's father booked for mehendi ceremony
The Habeebnagar police on Saturday registered a case against a man for violating lockdown guidelines and organizing a mehendi and dance ceremony for his daughter’s wedding.

The police said Mohammed Zaffar had hired some transpersons to dance at the wedding event. Locals had gathered in huge numbers to watch the dance. One of the guests had captured the event on his phone and shared it on social media. The video had gone viral.
Taking suo moto cognizance of the incident, the police registered a case under the Epidemic Diseases Act, Disaster Management Act and violation of COVID-19 protocols. The Habeebnagar police said a complaint has been registered and action will be taken against the violators.
As per the above said Lockdown violation case Habeebnagar PS Blue Colt staff were attended the spot immediately but the respondents ran away from the spot. We seized the sound boxes from the scene and a complaint has been registered, action will be taken as early as possible.

It may be recalled that the Habeebnagar police had earlier arrested nine youth for violating lockdown norms and organizing a roadside birthday party. In utter disregard of the lockdown, a group of youth had thronged the busy Afzal Sagar road to celebrate the birthday of their friends on Wednesday night.
The youth danced to loud music and flashed swords to keep the crowd at bay. Throwing all SOPs to the wind, participants neither wore masks nor did they maintain social distance.
Later, the Habeenagar police had registered a case against birthday boys Sairam and Arjun and seven others. They were booked under the Arms Act, Disaster Management Act, and the Epidemic Diseases Act. They were arrested late on Thursday.
