Hyderabad: The city saw a rainy start to the winter season. Showers are likely to occur in some parts of Hyderabad in the afternoon on 1 November.

Balaji cited the northeast monsoon as the reason for the cloudy weather in the city. "Today, due to active North-east monsoon, there will be cloudy weather in many parts of Telangana including Hyderabad. Isolate rains possible in South Telangana districts today," he said.

Relief from cold wave

Meanwhile, a respite from the cold wave is expected from Tuesday. Since 22 October, the temperatures have drastically dropped across the state.
