Eminent alumni from across the world converged on the OU campus to recall their student days. Tagore auditorium was jam-packed and students recalled fond memories from classes to canteens.
OU VC Prof. D Ravinder gave a brief account of the academics, administration, and finances of the university. The event began with a welcome address by the Registrar of Osmania University Prof. P. Laxminarayana. Past Vice Chancellors, Present Vice Chancellors, and retired professors across the departments participated in large numbers.
Panel Discussion on 'Tapping Alumni Power for Institution Building' was the first major event of the afternoon, which was moderated by Mandadi Sreeha Reddy Nodal Officer ā Toys Industry, VVMP, GI, Govt of Telangana.
The participants of the first session include C.V Anand, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, A Narasimha Reddy, Chairman - Bar Council, Telangana State, Burra Venkatesham IAS, Principal Secretary BC Welfare Dept Government of Telangana. C. Rajasekhar, OSD, MeA (United States) Shekar Kammula, TFI Director & Producer, and Manohar Reddy, Founder & CEO Feuji, Inc.
The alumni recollected their memories and shared their fondest moments in their career and stay at OU.
The second major event for the afternoon was the Panel Discussion titled 'Global Connect ā Initiatives from Osmania Alumni', which was moderated by Ravi Devullapally. Veena Gundavelli, Founder & CEO Emagia, Dr. Paidi Yella Reddy, Founder, and President Sapala Organics, Dr. S. Venkata Raju, CEO, Shubh Soft Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Ms. Janetha Kancherla, Attorney at Law, Janetha Law Offices, Dr. Mohd. Majid Hashmi Syed, Managing Director, KMH Engineering, Venepalli Bhaskar Rao, President & CEO CiVentiChem, and Mr. Konda Sanjay Reddy, President of Deepsea Technologies participated in the discussion. The discussants came out with concrete suggestions as to how the alumni can be strengthened for the future and recollected their memories and favorite pastime in their student days, stay at the hostel and campus.
A cultural programme by students of different colleges was also present on the occasion.
