Woman, 6 friends hide Ganja in ex-boyfriend’s car to fake crime in JubileeHills, held

Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills police have arrested a woman for allegedly conspiring with her six friends to frame her former boyfriend.

The woman, a law student, identified as Adokshaja alias Rinky alias Reena (26), is said to have been angry with her former boyfriend Shravan Kumar (26) for allegedly demeaning her after their separation four months ago.

The police said that Rinky, in collaboration with her friend Deepak Mohan (30), a software engineer living in Saroornagar, and Yashwant Sai (21), a private employee from Rahmatnagar, hatched a plan to seek revenge.

Deepak Mohan transferred Rs 14,000 to Rinky’s account to fund the scheme. Rinky then instructed Yashwant Sai to purchase packets of Ganja in Mangalahat.

The others in the group were Dixit Reddy (25), a student from Pathan Cheruvu; Praneet Topi (20), a student from Yadagirinagar near Yusufguda; Surya Theja (22), a student from Rahmatnagar; and Mahendar Yadav (25), who works as a private employee. They form the common friends of Shravankumar and Rinky.

Police said that Mahendar Yadav contacted Shravan Kumar, suggesting a meeting to resolve their differences. On Monday, Shravan Kumar drove to Krishnakanth Park in Yusufguda with Rinky and Mahendar Yadav on a two-wheeler, while the other three friends waited for them. They later moved to Amnesia Pub in Jubilee Hills.

Jubilee Hills police, led by Inspector Ravindra Prasad, along with DI Veerasekhar and DSI Rajasekhar, received a tip-off and went to the pub. Upon inspection, ganja packets were discovered under Shravan Kumar’s car seat and he was taken to the police station for questioning.

During interrogation, the police uncovered the truth. Rinky, who had informed the police about the Ganja, was brought in for questioning. It was revealed that the packets were placed by those sitting in the back seat of the car at Krishnakanth Park.

As a result, Jubilee Hills police seized the 40 grams of Ganja, and arrested Rinky and the six youths on Tuesday, charging them with framing Shravan Kumar. The daughter of an ASI of the AR division, Rinky, now faces legal consequences for her alleged failed conspiracy to harm her ex-boyfriend.
