Temperature Extremes in Telangana
Recently, several regions in Telangana have experienced extreme heat. According to data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), temperatures in Mancherial, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Khammam surpassed 47 degrees Celsius.
Specifically, Mancherial recorded a temperature of 47.2 degrees Celsius, while Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam reached 47.1 and 47 degrees Celsius, respectively.
In Hyderabad, the highest temperature recorded was 43 degrees Celsius in Amberpet.
Anticipation of Monsoon
Despite the forecasted rainfall, residents of Telangana are eagerly awaiting the monsoon, which is expected to arrive after June 6. The upcoming rains are expected to provide some relief from the current heat wave, potentially lowering the high temperatures recorded across the state.
The IMD's prediction of three days of rainfall is a welcome development for many, hoping it will bring cooler weather and alleviate the intense heat.
