YouTuber Chandu Sai arrested for cheating woman in the name of marriage
Since the case relates to SC&ST POA, the commissioner of police, Cyberabad has appointed and authorized the assistant commissioner of police of Narsingi Division to investigate this case

Hyderabad: Chandrasekhar Sai Kiran, also known as YouTuber Chandoo Gadu, was arrested by Narsinghi police for cheating a woman by making false promises of marriage. Chandrashekar Sai Kiran was arrested on December 14 from his residence.
The police registered a case against his family members too; his mother, Kola Ammaji, father Kola Venkateshwar Rao, his sister Hema Laxmi Mani and brother-in-law Yerukonda Balu Naidu.
According to the complainant, In March 2021, the accused and her met through social media. Later, they exchanged their contact details, started texting on WhatsApp and stayed connected on calls.
Soon after, Chandrashekar proposed and promised to marry her. On April 25, 2021, on the complainant’s birthday, Chandrashekar invited her to his residence in Puppalguda even after she expressed her disinterest. But Chandrashekar forced her to stay the night and initiated sex. After making more promises to marry her, they started living in the same house.
“In the name of marriage, Chandrashekar asked for the complainant’s gold, which he used to get a loan from Muthoot Finance. Later, his family came to the complainant’s home and demanded Rs 3 crores as dowry,” the report said.
After making their demands, Chandrashekar’s family members started harassing the victim and her family mentally and physically. Then they rejected the marriage altogether by insulting her, saying that she and her family belonged to a lower caste. The family sent her out of the flat.
A case has been registered against the accused and his family members under sections 420, 376(2)(n) IPC, section 3(1)(n(s) of the SC/ST Act. During interrogation, the accused confessed to having committed the offence and admitted the guilt.
Since the case relates to SC&ST POA, the commissioner of police, Cyberabad has appointed and authorized the assistant commissioner of police of Narsingi Division to investigate this case.
During the investigation, women police officers recorded the statement of the complainant at a counselling centre in Moinabad and sent her to a government district hospital in Kondapur for medical tests.
