Hyderabadi businessman injured as RTC bus rams into his car

Hyderabad: A businessman driving his car was badly injured, when a TSRTC bus rammed into his car at Bolarum in Hyderabad, on Rajiv Rahadari highway, late on Sunday night. A temporarily hired driver was driving the bus at the time of the incident and had just joined the service on Saturday when the Telangana state RTC bus employees went on an indefinite strike.
The victim, identified as Suresh from Lalgadi Malakpet village in Shameerpet on the city outskirts, was returning home in his car. While on the highway, as he reached Bolarum, the RTC bus belonging to Hakimpet depot, rammed into his vehicle. The bus with at least 20 passengers on board was travelling towards Secunderabad.
As a result of the crash, the front portion of the car was completely crushed and Suresh, who was behind the wheel, sustained severe injuries. Passers-by alerted the police and Suresh was rushed to Jubilee Hospital at Secunderabad. Police registered a case and started a probe.
