IMS scam accused taken into ACB custody for two-day interrogation

Hyderabad: Telangana Insurance Medical Services former director and six others who are accused of corruption and misappropriation have been taken into custody by the Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB). They were arrested a week ago and are serving judicial remand.

The ACB moved a petition before the court seeking their custody for a detailed investigation into the scam that was pulled off by Devika Rani and the other accused who acted by her instructions.

The court granted the ACB to take the accused into their custody for two days. Accordingly, they were taken into custody on Wednesday morning and were shifted to ACB headquarters at Banjara hills. They will be grilled in connection with the scam for two days.

So far the ACB has arrested more than ten persons in connection with the scam. They are expected to arrest one more person after the completion of the two-day interrogation of Devika Rani and others.
