In Adilabad youth kills uncle, an ex-cop, takes selfie with body

In a case of a shocking murder, a youth who killed his relative clicked a selfie on his mobile and shared his picture with the body on social media platforms in Adilabad district of Telangana. While the victim is a retired police officer, the accused is his younger brother’s son. The issue came to light after the pictures which he shared on social media platforms, went viral. The incident happened on Friday in Utnoor .

According to police, the victim Shiva Raj worked in the police department and recently retired from the service as an Assistant Sub-Inspector. He and his brothers had disputes over property sharing, due to which there has been frequent confrontation among both families in the recent past.

His younger brother’s son Vivek along with his friends attacked Shiva Raj while he was returning home from some work. They attacked him with sticks, killing him on the spot. After making sure Shiva Raj was dead, Vivek stood near his uncle’s body and clicked a selfie on his mobile phone. He later posted the selfie with dead body on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Utnoor police registered a murder case and started an investigation. During the investigation, they came across the selfie picture, which has gone viral on social media and based on the picture, detained Vivek and his friends. During interrogation, they admitted to killing Shiva Raj over property issues. Police arrested them and produced them before the court and sent them to remand.Selfie with dead body had gone viral.
