The woman, identified as Lisa, assaulted a newly appointed Sub-Inspector under the influence of alcohol and injured others. While the men stayed away from Lisa, the female personnel had a tough time handling the attacker.
Inquiries revealed that Lisa, hailing from Nagaland, was found on the roadside at Road No 10 of Banjara Hills late on Saturday night. Alerted by patrolling teams, female constables rushed to the spot and brought Lisa to the station. A few hours later, after she gained consciousness, Lisa started making a ruckus and tried to run away from the premises.
The female officers tried to prevent Lisa from leaving the premises, as she was allegedly under the effect of alcohol. However, Lisa, who claims to be working for a private firm at Madhapur, injured a female constable with her nails and left another with scratches on her neck. Besides, Lisa allegedly bit the wrist of another constable.
While this left the female personnel clueless, they managed to apprehend Lisa until her family members arrived and took her home. Police are likely to register a case against Lisa for allegedly misbehaving inside the police station and on charges of obstructing officers from discharging their duties.
