- Sends ‘blood-letter’ demand to Amit Shah
New Delhi: International shooter, Vartika Singh has written a letter in blood to Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, stating that the four men convicted in the Nirbhaya gang-rape case should be executed by her in order to send a message across the country that even women can conduct executions.
She appealed to actresses and women MPs to support her as she hopes this will bring a change in the society.
Speaking to the media, she said, “The convicts in the Nirbhaya Gang-rape case should be hanged by me.”
The review petition filed by one of the death-row convicts, Akshay Kumar Singh is to be heard by the bench of CJI SA Bobde with Justices R Bhanumathi and Ashok Bhushan in open court on Tuesday.
Ever since Disha rapists were killed in an encounter, the demand to hang Nirbhaya’s rapists has caught momentum.
Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal has been on a hunger-strike since 12 days demanding death sentence of the Nirbhaya accused. She has been taken to LNJP Hospital after she fell unconscious Sunday morning.
