Is it retrospective season for natural star, Nani?
By Priyanka Kanoj Published on 17 Oct 2019 6:02 AM GMTHyderabad: Known for his family-oriented movies and boy-next-door roles, Nani is called the Natural Star of Telugu. With feel-good movies and subtle acting, he is a Telugu hero who receives acceptance from all quarters of the audience.
Nani's latest movie 'Gang Leader', which grabbed a bit of attention, failed to work wonders for him. Settled according to its critical praises, Nani's Gang Leader failed at the box-office. It was not expected that the Gang leader would fail at the box-office. But, its failure made an impact, as he appears to have taken a step back after Gang Leader.
As per close sources, it appears that Nani is in a state of retrospect. Nani, who made his mark in Tollywood, had some surprise hits in the industry. But in recent times, this has not been the case. It has been a while since any Nani's of movies have made a significant impact. Though the sports drama, 'Jersey' earned him massive applause for his emotional acting as Arjun, the film did not do great in the commercial aspect.
Keeping the above factors in his mind, Nani is probably trying to reexamine his strategies and only then get back to his regular work. He is currently working on one venture while his other projects are on hold. He would resume the work once he feels he can handle it as he used to earlier.
Nani is currently working on a movie venture which is being directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti. This movie will mark his 25th movie in Telugu. He got a remarkable breakthrough in the industry through the movie 'Ashta Chamma' which was under Mohan Krishna Indraganti's directorial. This movie is expected to be a great one for both Nani and Indraganti.
On the other hand, rumours are floating around that Nani is supposed to work under Siva Nirvana's direction. This project seems to be shelved for now. He might take it up later, but there is no news regarding the movie as of now. He is supposed to work under Nandini Reddy's direction as well, but there is no official confirmation yet.
