Jilted in love, women ends life in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman, an employee of a news channel news, allegedly died by suicide at Bhoiguda in Hyderabad.

The victim, Kalyani, had reportedly been in a relationship with a co-worker, Shiva, for over two years. While it is suspected that she took the step over a failed love affair, there are also rumours of personal issues involving her family members.

Kalyani lived with her brother in Hyderabad, while her parents lived in Siddipet district. Based on a complaint from her family, the Gandhinagar police have registered a case against her alleged boyfriend and started an investigation.

A few weeks ago, Kalyani had raised the issue of marriage with Shiva but the latter had refused her proposal. Her brother found her body on Monday and informed the police.
