Karnataka lorry driver killing Hyd youth by crashing into his bike sent to remand

Hyderabad: Twenty-four-year-old Aijaz Shareef died on the spot after a lorry crashed into his bike at Saibaba Nagar crossroads near Aramgarh. On Saturday, the driver and cleaner of the lorry were produced before the court and sent to remand.
Shareef was working in Apollo Pharmacy at Attapur. The police said that the lorry driver, Mohammed Shareef, was driving at high speed and in a negligent manner in the wrong route. Further, he was in an inebriated condition when the incident occurred. Even after colliding with the bike, the lorry driver continued driving the vehicle, dragging Shareefās body up to 10 mts.
Police said that Mohammed Shareef and the cleaner too belonged to Karnataka. Shareef purchased a whisky bottle from a wine shop and consumed a portion of it. The bottle with the remaining whisky was found in the lorry cabin.
Driving a vehicle in an inebriated condition can lead to accidents, which amounts to culpable homicide.
