Hyderabad: Kollywood actor Karthi’s Khaidi, which released on October 25, is doing well at the box office. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial clashed at the box office with Vijay’s Bigil, and the former is performing well at the box office. Khaidi is the Telugu version of Tamil film Kaithi.

Khaidi team was in Hyderabad to celebrate the film’s success. At the press meet, Karthi said, “I don’t know if I can thank you all enough for the amount of love and appreciation you have given for Kaithi (Khaidi). We set out to present an exciting story, and our team put their heart into it. However, we never expected such an overwhelming response. I take a big bow with heartfelt gratitude. Thank you and love you all.”

Recently, Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to praise the film and Karthi’s performance. Keeping this in mind, Karthi mentioned, “Thank you to Mahesh Babu garu. Our team was thrilled to see his comments. I admire his love for cinema. I extend my sincerest thanks to my friends from the media fraternity for their appreciation and their best wishes. To my brothers and sisters who have given me so much love and stayed with me during all my ups and downs, I’ll keep working hard to make you feel proud. Dilli will be back for you.”

On this occasion, Karthi confirmed that the sequel of Khaidi is on the cards and, it will go to floors soon. Kanagaraj had asked Karthi for 30 days out of his busy schedule to make the sequel.

SR Prakash Babu, SR Prabhu, and Thiruppur Vivek produced Kaithi under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner. KK Radha Mohan released the Tamil-Telugu bilingual in both the Telugu states under Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner. The film is winning accolades from everywhere along with houseful collections.
