Keerthy Suresh’s Bollywood debut gets a release date

Hyderabad: After winning the hearts of fans with her scintillating acting skills in south, actress Keerthy Suresh is all set to capture the imagination of Bollywood with her Hindi debut ‘Maidaan’.

Announcing the news on his official Twitter handle, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said ‘Maidaan’ will be released on November 27, 2020.

He wrote, “Release date finalized…Ajay Devgn’s next film #Maidaan based on the sport #football – to release on 27 Nov 2020…Costars Keerthy Suresh…Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma (Badhaai Ho)…Filming will conclude by March 2020.” (sic)

Fans of Keerthy Suresh are super happy. The actress, who shot to fame and topped the popularity charts with ‘Mahanati ‘has a bunch of films in her kitty. As an actress, who commands huge fan following, she is definitely one of the most sought-after south Indian actress now.

Besides ‘Maidaan’, which is produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, she has ‘Marakkar’, a Malayalam film with Mohanlal as the protagonist. In Telugu, she has several projects up her sleeve, including ‘Miss India’, ‘Rang De’ and ‘Good Luck Sakhi’, whereas in Tamil, she has a plum role in ‘Penguin’.

A couple of months ago, Devgn shared the first-look poster of the film, which projects a huge football in the shape of a globe with the legend 'The Golden Era of Indian Football', written on it. It traces Indian football’s golden days from 1952-1962. Also, the poster gives a glimpse of a jam-packed stadium watching a match.

‘De De Pyaar De’, Devgn’s recent flick has been a runaway hit. He will next be seen in ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ where he will essay the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in-charge of Bhuj airbase during the 1971 war, which remained operational after braving heavy bombing from Pakistan.
