Hyderabad: Gurangs Kitchen’s Feast On to celebrate Indias culinary marvels in festive season

Hyderabad: Hyderabad, known for Nizams and biryanis, is bracing up to host a culinary show that might transform the city's gourmet landscape.

Gurang's Kitchen, the namesake restaurant of designer and culinary expert Gaurang Shah, has launched the Feast On! Veg Culinary Festival. It combines a harmonic combination of flavors, customs, and celebrations for holidays like Independence Day, Onam, and Raksha Bandhan with unique vegetarian dishes, which is the dine-in space's specialty.

With crowd-pleasers like Dahi Papdi Chaat, spicy Peri Peri Aloo Tikka, Pesto Pinwheels Sandwich, and more, the appetizers produced a beautiful symphony of flavor. These gourmet delights, reminiscent of the national flag's colors, established an artistic palette of taste and beauty.

Moving on to the main courses, dishes like the sumptuous Malai Paneer Veg Kolhapuri and the colorful Tiranga Kofta Curry demonstrated not just culinary creativity but also the togetherness that lives in variety.

The bread and rice selection, which included the traditional Phulka and the delectable Tiranga Biryani, told the story of a nation linked together by a tapestry of flavors and customs. And don't forget about the sweets! A sweet climax was supplied by a trio of pleasures like Jalebi, Srikhand, and Tiranga Kulfi, symbolizing the pleasant relationships that bind friends and family.

Onam festivities

The event easily transitions into Onam, Kerala's abundant harvest celebration. The exquisite aviyal, a combination of mixed vegetables, and aromatic sambar is served to guests, who are accompanied by a variety of rice dishes. You may also taste the hearty Olan, rasam, pachadi khichdi, pal payasam, and tomato rice, among other dishes.

Rakhi meal of togetherness

Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of sibling connections that takes place on the 30 and 31 of August. The celebration, which honors the bond between brothers and sisters, provides a great setting for sampling a variety of scrumptious sweets and savory treats.

Traditional ladoos and barfis mix with modern touches like vegan chocolate truffles and nut-based energy snacks. Starters like khichu, lasagnas, khandvi chaats, small cucumber podi dosa, and more recall the joy of family reunions, as do main course delicacies like Rajasthani Aloo Bhindi and Paneer Kundan Kalyan.

A team of 40 chefs and assistants ensure that the menu changes daily with Gaurang picking the dishes for the day. The a la carte list comprises a whopping 140 dishes.

Since its opening, the restaurant has been operating at full capacity. Make a beeline towards Gaurang's kitchen if you prefer your meal variety and vegetarian. You'll want to come back for more.
